That's not a legit argument though. That's like saying because you have a job that any work you do on the side you shouldn't expect payment for the work.

Yes he has other side hustles but he isn't asking for the money up front because hes broke. He's saying to ask for it upfront because they waste peoples time.

The plight of the modern day hip hip producer is that sooo many people have access to equipment/software these days and a lot of people are really good. Simple supply and demand. The over saturation of the market will decrease product worth. That's why you have people giving away beats just to get on. For producers who are on, they are having to get money on the back end more than they were back in the day.

Add to the fact that its hard to have a signature sound because it can be ripped off easily these Days.

Look at all the Money Mustard missed out on because of that bootleg Loyal and Fancy beat
