What happened since that first game against the Steelers? Fields played lights out in that game against a pretty good Steelers defense. Since then, he’s been pretty bad, but the play calling and penalties aren’t helping either. Why didn’t Glenn just attempt to kick the 60yd FG rather than go for it on 4th and 8? They’ve been playing conservative all game, but with the game in the line and close to FG range, they decide to do passing plays.

I don’t understand how ppl are faulting them for not taking a 62 yard FG attempt. The offense was horrendous but we trusting kickers to make 60+ yard field goals over your NFL offense? It can’t be that bad

That was about the only decision I agreed with. Nick Folk is an old retread and I wouldn't trust him with a 60+ field goal.

Everyone on the offense should be embarrassed. With how bad the game was, we still could have gotten this one. Should have been more aggressive to end the half and should have easily gotten that first down before the end of the game. Even if you dink & dunk you should be able to pass for more than 50 yards. Watching the steelers now. Arod can be childish, but I think his stubbornness would have kept the offense from being this bad.

It’s not necessarily the 60+ yard FG, but when you’re that close, why not keep running when that’s what they’ve been doing all game? Maybe you don’t get a big chunk, but you possibly get to a high 50yd attempt. Don’t wait until that moment to start passing, and if they’ve barely been converting 3rd downs, what made him think they had a chance to convert a 4th and long with the game on the line?
