But can you answer this question: do you think it's harmful for black people when black women hate black men and go online and constantly repeat how 'nikkas ain't shyt' and how Serena is so amazing for marrying a white dude? Or do you think that's a positive thing for black men?

The concept of 'black people hating black people' was completely foreign to me. Because of my upbringing and my pride of blackness and all our black excellence this never crossed my mind.

This only came to my attention because of the repeated communication of black women communicating that they literally 'hate black men' (the classic 'nikkas ain't shyt' and the applauding of Serena etc. I think social media especially has put a spotlight on this.

So no, I honestly do not think it's like that.

What I think you do see is two things

1. Black men being tired of that shyt and more black men - because of this - dating white women. There's this sense of 'white women don't hate me'. Now to say 'ALL black women hate black men' is completely bullshyt. Many black women LOVE black men. But those who hate us definitely push black men away.

2. There are many black men who have dogged black women, there are many black men who blew up and then BAM dated a white woman. Now if you add to that that the white man has set up society and media in a way that 'the ideal beauty' is a white woman (the desirable women on magazines, actresses, superstars are mainly white women). I get that for black women shyt is tough and that when they see a black man with a white woman that they feel like 'fukk, NOTHING goes our way AND our own men don't even want us'. The first part is true, but the second part is not true. Black men DO want black women. Many black men want ONLY black women. Many black men are open minded and would date a white woman OR a black woman OR a Latina woman OR ... but this doesn't cross the scorned black woman's mind, she's angry and takes it out on 'all black men' and here comes 'nikkas ain't shyt'.

So we should separate black women straight up hating black men and black men CHOOSING to date out of race and that not automatically equating to hate of black women
