he has a point. the nfl basically bought his silence with an undisclosed settlement
re-read my post. they bought his silence for an undisclosed amount. it's all well and good for him to be compensated, and rightly so, for loss of income. but the cost of that is that the nfl will continue to act the way it has and we will never know why and who the key actors and stakeholders are because kaep has effectively been paid not to disclose that.No he doesn't have a point.
Kaep was suing the NFL because they illegally blocked him from earning a living. Why wouldn't accepting a settlement be an acceptable outcome? He was never suing the NFL as a crusade to expose them or whatever some of y'all romanticized it to new. It was always about lost wages.
If your job unfairly fired you, and you sued for 50 times your annual salary, are you a "sellout" for accepting 20 times your salary and avoiding the costs and uncertainy of trial?
Kap and Reid called Michael Jenkins a c00n for doing something similar tho![]()

nikka he settled on behalf of the players, many who backed him. His shyt was separate from Kap's shyt you fukking dumbass. And they still called him a sellout only to turn around and do business with the same nikkas period! Kap did what was best for himself and his interest just like everybody else. Get off his nuts bytch ass nikka because Reid settled too.You fukking moron they called him a sellout because he settled on the behalf of the rest of the players in the league many of which didn't agree with him being the self appointed leader of the group nor the wack terms he agreed to.
Kap represents himself, the grievance is his own, and his settlement doesn't affect the rest of the players.

of course i'd love for him to say fukk it and put them on blast after getting his money, but it won't happen.
i'll never put a black man down for getting money he is owed. but i will voice my disgust and concern at them doing so at the cost of other black men and women.
He's been donating his own money for the past few years. Is he gonna donate that money to the shyt he’s been kneeling for![]()
:nothanks: Nah
i think you're being obtuse here, breh. i couldnt be more explicit in stating my issue is with the fact that the nfl can silence his ability to speak on the collusion that can demonstrably diminish his, and other players', ability to speak out against this practice in a multibillion dollar sport; effectively negating what he supposedly sought to correct. we all know the standard practices of legal proceedings like these and what outcomes they yield, the crux of his crusade and the actions he's taken up until this point was to go against the standard. i'm of the belief that this result is standard and does nothing to yield any actual change for anyone not named colin kaepernick.Saying "they bought his silence" implies they paid him money to keep him quiet on the social justice issues he's been speaking on. That's disingenuous. They only "bought his silence" on the issue of wether they colluded against him and what they settled for....so what? That's standard practice for settlements like these.
Kaep accepting a settlement here didn't cost other black men and women ANYTHING. Just like if Kaep won in a court other black men and women weren't gaining anything. Kaep grievance with the NFL was always about Kaep's lost wages. What's so hard for you to understand about that?
