I started eating green beans. Cooks up fast as grits and CHEAP. I can get a pound for about $2. Recipe I use.
- heat skillet up to same temperature you cook bacon medium high for me
- I cook the amount of green beans that will cover the skillet flat, I don’t even cut off the stems but you can if they bother you
- Coat the skillet with a little oil
- Brown about 1-2 minutes each side
- pour in about a shot glass of water. Cook until the water evaporates
- serve. Salt and pepper to taste some people use Parmesan cheese
