I thought so what kind of physician do you want to be

I have no idea, man.
You really can't get a grasp of what a particular speciality truly entails until you get to your rotations in 3rd year (which I'm looking forward to.)
I can't say matter of fact yet, but I'm interested in Psychiatry. Particularly Child & Adolescent Psych.
I like kids, good pay, and flexible hours.
Helps that Psych isn't extremely competitive like other "ROAD" specialties (radiology, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, dermatology)
It's really hard to say what you want this early on and you have to be level headed. I had a few classmates that were admittedly gunning for Derm until the end of the first year and they realized how stiff the competition really is.
Pretty much everyone here has been in the absolute peak of their class since elementary.
I thought I was smart but it's really humbling which is why you can't be dead set on any one field. When you factor in grades, shelf exams, interviews, research, ect.
There really is no guarantee when it comes time to match.

LMAO.

Finance is a good major, but it depends on how well you use it. Knowledge of money is very important. Something I would also suggest is learning a second language (spanish, french, haitian creole) and getting certifications in different finance sectors (I am not knowledgeable on that but look into it). You can also own your own business later down the road if you take your major very seriously. Why didn't you go into accounting? I'm not knocking your major but truly interested. Some people prefer accounting and some prefer finance.

I wish you good luck with your debt though. I would be crying over that instead of what some chick thinks.

I thought about going to med school to become a radiologist, but that science/math is ridiculous. I also can't deal with the blood and the weird stuff that ahppens to the human body. Radiology is very interesting though.

:scust:
That was my least favorite part of undergrad.
We lost a lot of people to Chemistry and Physics.
You ultimately made the right decision though, because if your heart truly isn't in it, it's hard to power through.
There's obviously math in med school, but 95% of the time, you're tasked with absorbing ridiculous volumes of information and regurgitating it a week and a half later.
The trick if you're not really a math guy/girl is getting through undergrad.

I chose speech pathology because I like working with children that have mental disabilities. I almost lost my scholarship because of chemistry. I got a C in chemistry my second semester of college.

I don't divulge my institution considering I'm a black male (URM) in medical school and I enjoy my anonymity.
I name the school I attend and I become really easy to find.
To the bold, I Appreciate it breh. Same to you.
