A handful of teenage Boomers holding pickett signs down streets doesn't mean that the Boomers are responsible for the new rights that ushered after the Civil Rights movement. That was from their parents hard work and dedication. Most Boomers were children and preteens during the Civil Rights movement, especially Boomers born after 1954. Stop giving them praise for their parents accomplishments, especially when Boomers went out of their way to demolish everything that their parents set up for them.
Kennedy's assasination took place in 1963 and had absolutely nothing to do with the destruction of traditional values that came well after his death. The ravaging of traditionalism began with the Boomers when the oldest Boomers entered their adult years in the late 60's. Beginning in the late 60's we see the emergence of free love, free drugs, and what Boomers labeled the "destruction of the patriarchy" which was actually them rebelling against marriage and family values because they wanted their parents and each generation after them to be as bitter and miserable as they were. They intentionally started a movement to destroy centuries worth of traditional roles and promote a culture of disregard because they wanted to be rebel against society, hoping to be labeled heroes fighting against the establishment. Their decision to destroy America and the family unit was their own decision, no one forced or caused them to fight against a well established, successful structure that existed even well before they were born.
Boomers had nothing to do with this. The acceptance of Black America came post-Civil Rights which their parents fought in. Wow, Boomers have done an outstanding job of brainwashing younger generations into thinking they are heroes.
I read a good quote recently, something like "the same way wealthy families passed down opportunities to their children, poor families pass down all the burdens"
Started my own business in financial services firm. I found a niche in that even the biggest firms in my industry weren't doing. I expect to be doing low millions by next year if not this year.
Have you taken the certification exam before?I am not Rich, but I am not struggling either. Grew up in a household in a household that lived pay check to pay check in a part of town where that's how people lived. Most of my parents money went towards their properties on the islands. The reality of it is I wouldn't be where I am at if I didn't major in STEM. I make a decent living. Though niccas like to clown some people here drop legit hints on making a decent living through certs...study for the Amazon AWS or get an associate of CISSP, someone will open the door for you. I am constantly learning. With that said once I reach my goal, I hope to be working for myself but I haven't reached that level yet or may never be. At 27, I am more motivated than ever.
This times ten @DrXI went from making 25k a year to 120k a year in under six years. I'll be making 150+ next year.
Two things:
Go where the money is.
Get out of your comfort zone.

If you decide on aws, udemy has a aws course that usually goes on sale for 15-10. Im taking the course now, but I haven't touch since feb, finishing my software engineering this summer. Cant wait to get on that level, making 6 figuresNaw, well not yet. I am close to being done studying for the cissp(associate) , then next up is either the ccsp or aws. My friend did and he gets job offers a lot. Makes damn near 200K working as a consultant. So I give myself until the end of the year to pass both.
