But its making me question if I want to see Weeknd next week at hard rock stadium in August south florida heat.. Thats not enjoyable to me.. And weeknd is one of my favorite artist.. dammit man

I just saw the weeknd
It was good
But he gained a lot of weight
So he doesn’t move around the stage much
His voice was high energy but body was quite low energy

The World, but from BK
I've done decades of festivals and I am not sure if I have any more festivals in me.. I'm 42, the last "festival" I did was the Hiphop turns 50 at Yankee Stadium....that shyt was about 8 hrs. I'll still do a seated concert here and there but I've pretty much seen all the artist that I've been into. I think my festival fit (cargo shorts and black tee) can now be retired. I met an ex-gf at Rock The Bells festival in 2011 during a Lauryn Hill performance. We were together for 2 years after.

Honestly, nope.

I’ve seen just about everyone I wanted to see live from my era, during their prime years. I only missed out on 2Pac, MF DOOM, R. Kelly and a few others.

I mostly go because my wife didn’t go to concerts before me and she’s playing catch up, so to speak, and since she’s younger, it’s people I’m familiar with but didn’t really listen to.

I do my best to fake it, but about 30 minutes in I’m usually looking around people watching.

Concerts? Sure. Festivals? I'm good on that now.

If I did go, I'd be one of the old people on a beach towel sitting in the back :flabbynsick:

Music festivals, nah. Too crowded and my energy levels are lower. Maybe if it was folks I really really wanted to see.

Concerts? Hell yeah. Especially a VIp section with seating ? :banderas:
Yes, I haven't been to a music fest since early 2ks, I'm concert only and agree seating is key but will do lawn under right circumstances

They came up with a solution for this for us :flabbynsick:

It's called the Absentee Concert experience and uses the latest technology to put u there without the hassle of being there :obama:

Yep. Just caught Nelly, Eve and Ja Rule last Thursday with the big bro and his wife. The Offspirng the week before. Metric a few weeks earlier with the wife. Was supposed to be a Bloc Party show but they had beef with Metric. And Cypress Hill back in May. Got a Black Keys show end of the month. Might hit a boat cruise with Scratch b*stard and Dj Dopey, then got a Deftones/System of a Down show early Sept.
How was Nelly ja concert

I started going to music festivals at 40 years old and now im 43. I was at a afro house set (Francis Mercier) yesterday in nyc and had a great time. It was supposed to be from 4-10 but he played until 12am

I also saw my "future wife" at the show yesterday but I never approached when I had the chance:mjcry:

Absolutely. I actually have the time to go now that my kids are out the house and I am in the wind down portion of my career.

I’ll go to hear music if it’s a venue where I have a physical seat.

If I don’t have a seat then I can’t fukk with it.

My biggest beef is the price of the ticket.

Going to a show is an EXPENSIVE night.

I love live music but I really have to be a big fan; back in the day I use to just go to anything. it was affordable.

Festivals I've aged out of. Those are dope when you're young and mob 2 them.....everyone fukked up.

I'm cool with just seeing local people; covers whatever at this point I get my fix.

Never cared for stadium shows either big waste.
