the thing is I recognized this fact and am typing this out because once the awareness kicks in that's when the losing streak starts.


I'm waiting for the Manchester City lineup, out in maybe 15 minutes, this could be a good bet.

I'm looking back at when I started betting in 08, it was so cute. 5 dollar bets on Euro 2008 and baseball, then getting impatient and moving up to 10 and 15 bucks, then getting into degeneracy with NBA over/under quarters and parlays

won't lie it took like 3 years til I started doing well

2 biggest bets I've ever made I've lost

Had a solid plan to turn 600 into 1,600, had Stoke in the early game which won, then Arsenal in the late game 1,100 (to win 500) to beat Fulham, but they ended up tying. I remember they were down late 0-1 , tied it up, and hit the post in the last minute.

And 1,250 (to win 500) on Avalanche to beat Blue Jackets, regulation ML (ties push). Middle of the NHL season and Columbus has like 1 win on the road all season, Avs a very strong home team, even with the extra "insurance" of regulation ML and they end up being shutout losing 0-2, a real real freak result.

Biggest bet I've ever won was 500 to win 950 on Youzhny over Gasquet at +190 then flipped that 950 to win 500 with Kohlschreiber. All in the span of 1 day, was crazy.

I've made other 500/600 dollar bets too often (in "fukk it" mode) to even remember those. Definitely not that crazy anymore though. The only one of those I really remember is I had the Yankees in Game 5 against the Tigers and they left like 15 people on base that day.. only reason it was memorable is cause it was a ridiculous loss.

OK anybody got any ideas on who to take for the allstar game mvp... man chris paul is like +2000 and this nicca won last year... only lebron and kd arent giving good odds and this shyt is a crapshoot it never goes how u think it will... just like steph with the 3point comp

Haven't bet since the weekend of the Superbowl where I went completely tilt.

Was doing great until then. Was profitable in just about every sport. Realized I came too far & put too much work in, I also got too deep in the game to just quit. So I'm jumping back in the market on Tuesday. Starting very small, just gonna deposit $50 and see if I can turn it into something.

I think I'm going to only concentrate on NBA and NFL for now on. Two sports I watch and enjoy. I think over the summer I'll try to develop a system for how I actually bet the games as opposed to the just the subjective approach I was previously taking.

My main problem was bank roll management. So when the NFL season starts I'm just gonna put away a few grand and work with that.....

TBH I hate people's mindset towards things. NFL season going bad? Damn, I can't wait til NBA starts. NBA doing bad? Damn, I can't wait til MLB starts.. and it's just a never ending cycle of that. Though it's pretty fun to fail if you have other people to bytch with/to like on covers..

But I like that approach of sticking to things you like... because the stories you hear are of people having complicated Harvard graduate math guys churning out rankings and everything, yet what they NEVER talk about is that there are just as many people betting on instinct and knowledge they have themselves. Numbers are no substitute for following trends and feelings imo.

Speaking of all the bad beats in this thread, I had $128 on Oakland university today. They were leading the entire game. They were up 10 with 2 minutes left. These fukking losers let the other team hit 4 threes in the final 1:30 seconds to lose by one point. I had them as a pick'em.

Probably one of the worst beats I've ever had. Couldn't believe that shyt happened.

I hear u......my mind mindset is all about NFL and NBA because when I look at my spreadsheet that's where I've been most profitable and those are the sports I clearly put the time in....especially the nfl. I've found I've gotten burnt when I tried to step into other sports betting on things I don't know much about.
