so you negged me on a post that you literally agreed with later? You're going around and negging people who just joined and you don't think you're being a weirdo?
You're a worthless troll and you're only making a big deal about it because you know you're a lame.
I've done my research, he never played competitive ball in Cameroon. He was a volleyball player who was found in a camp and didn't even know how to play ball when he came over to highschool. He had literally no experience playing. You have no idea what you're talking about - he never played competitively internationally, he was never on a scene, he never traveled, he has 0 semi-pro experience like all the top international players. He learned the game in the U.S. - again I'm splitting hair but you don't know what the F you're talking about
If he played competitively in Cameroon then he would be ineligible to play for France in the Olympics. He is not ineligible to play for France or any other country. Knowing everything don’t make you smart it’s knowing what you don’t know that make you smart.
"Joel Embiid is fond of comparing his life to a movie. The story, in his account, begins with a scout discovering him on the streets of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, where Embiid grew up.
.........
In February, Thomas [Embiid's father] signed paperwork allowing Joel to join a local team led by a coach named Guy Moudio. Moudio gave Joel a tape of Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon to study. He used a medicine ball to build up Joel’s strength. Moudio had to teach Joel some of the game’s more basic skills, but he was impressed with what he saw and how Joel, despite being a novice, seemed to have an innate feel for the game".
This was in Cameroon when he was 15/16 years old, and it was many months prior to Mbah a Moute holding the camp that got him noticed. So yes, he played organized/competitive hoops in Cameroon, now, of course, it's not organized/competitive hoops as we come to know in this country, but in relation to age-group play in Cameroon, it was. He's had experience playing basketball before he came to the US - that is a fact.; to say he had "literally no experience playing" is 100% inaccurate. This is a pointless matter anyway given the fact he's already gone through the process to play for France which whatever arbitrary measure y'all want to use, he'll be playing for an international team in the not too distant future.
It's probably for the best if you two just sit back and let the grown folks talk hoops.
