For the first time in NBA history, we will have a different champ for the 7th consecutive time.

Yup so we will see if those folks tired of the same teams/players will put their attention where their mouth is.

Its interesting how we got here. Aprons, 3 pt variance, players getting hurt have all contributed to this. It will be interesting to see if this years champ is able to buck that trend or if that's just the way it is now. We didnt have a back to back champ between Russell's last year and the Lakers in 88. But we did have multi time champs in that span. Havent had a team make it back to the Finals this decade and only Kerr and Mazzula still have their jobs.

This new CBA is awful

I can't believe the players ok'd this bullshyt

The 2nd Apron Repeater Tax is hell on earth

This is a hard cap in the NBA like in the NFL but the difference is contracts are guaranteed in the NBA. In the NFL you can just cut a Ben Simmons or a Damian Lillard but in the NBA you have to try and trade those horrible contracts.

Its just very hard.

You have to be a team like the Thunder and accumulate picks, trade for a young star and hit on him.. Decide who your core is pay them and trade everyone else to replenish your team but you have to hit on these picks. You can't make a mistake :damn:

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
Just to think how dominant Zion would be against the defense Jokic only sees in the playoffs 😄😄😄. Z sees that type of defense every night. Most double teamed player since the stat was tracked, and the nikka has missed 55% of his games lol.

Slashers remain unstoppable in playoff atmospheres. The middy and 3 helps for sure, but it's hard as fukk to stop a nikka that can get from the 3pt line to the basket over and over again. Look how SGA can eat well. Look at how Ant can eat well. Look how Jokic and Luka score inefficiently and keeps turning the ball over.

We need our American players on better fukkin teams dawg. It's some hoe ass shyt breh ended up in fukkin New Orleans. Now Joe D hoe ass says he's not trading him smh. Bullshyt dawg.

By the end of this year, we’ll have had in the 7 season span:

7 different teams win the Finals
11 different teams make the Finals
16 different teams make the Conf Finals

For comparison’s sake this is the last 7 NFL seasons (2018-2024):

5 different teams win the SB
7 different teams make the SB
14 different teams make the Conf title game

And MLB’s last 7 full seasons (2018-2024):
6 different teams win the WS
10 different teams make the WS
15 different teams make the LCS

NBA is no longer the “no parity league”

Shoot in NHL which pretends to have parity with its hard cap and its overtime loss point stuff has a Conference Finalists in:
Florida Panthers - 3 straight conference finals, reigning champions (2 straight Cup Finals 1-1 in them)
Dallas Stars - 3 straight conference finals
Edmonton Oilers - 3 conference finals in 4 years, defending Western Conference champions (was in Cup Final last season)
Carolina Hurricanes - 2 conference finals in 3 years

So really the NBA has the most parity despite being the league that isn’t known for it.

I think the BIGGEST reason we see this variance is injuries more than any 3pt variance, salary cap restrictions etc..
Lets review:

Raptors- Kawhi left
Lakers- The year that "street clothes" (unfairly) became a thing. I think they cruise to a repeat if healthy.
Bucks- Middleton being out but that 3pt shyt got em in a series that they were up 3-2 and double digits at home in game 6
Warriors- Dont recall any injuries that next year. Correct me if I am incorrect.
Nuggets- Dont recall any injuries last year. Lost key contributors over money.
Celtics- They were headed towards 1-3 before Tatum got hurt. That variance got em.

Not only are their earnings capped. Movement is limited now as well. Owners finally got what they wanted..cost certainty and control of when and where players go (unless they are Bradley Beal :mjlol:)
