This doesn’t sit right with my spirit

Ive lived in nyc my whole life..and I felt this way too at first

but honestly that’s us being spoiled...I don’t think anybody else has 24 hr service ...I don’t see anything wrong with it..there’s nowhere I need to be at 3am ..and if I do I can just take Uber or something

or just get on the bus since that’ll be operating

they should keep this for good ..it would probably bring Down late night Subway crime too in a way..homeless nikkas gotta find a new hustle

I agree with you but they have got to stop letting bums ride the train at night. There is no other option. I hate to be that way but they are the main reason this is happening.

The reason why it is so bad now is because a lot of their usual hiding places are not available to them right now.

Also, many of the public bathrooms in the city are closed since the pandemic started. Even the bathroom in Grand Central is closed, no surprised homeless ppl are pooping on the trains.

The main problem is there are just too many homeless people in this city, period. And the ones who cause the most trouble are the ones with severe mental illness who should be institutionalized. They'll close the subways to them and they'll just find another spot to congregate overnight and it will be a problemball over again in the morning. This is a poor band-aid solution.

It should've been done. The homeless situation has really gotten out of hand.

People are shooting up dope in front of people and literally shytting wherever they want.
Literally had a homeless lady take off her pants walk out and shyt or piss in between cars. We sit here and clown India but America ain’t too far behind with people shifting in public

Ppl are really pushing for the subway to be shut down overnight permanently :dahell:

Shut down the subway during the overnight in the city that never sleeps brehs :skip:

So many ppl that work odd hours, ppl coming home from a night out on the town, etc.

I’m sure people work overnight in other states breh

Buses would still operate..

And 1-5 is a great timeframe...who gets out of work at 3:30 am lol

most the time people seem to get out at like 5/6..

yeah, people work overnights in other cities, but in those cities, people are way more likely to have cars.

The Cities Where Going Car-Free Is Catching On

look at the list of cities, nyc is the only one where over half of the households do not own cars ... and this really is a 24 hr city, there are people who get out of work or start work at 3 ... or because of the way the trains run, you may finishing working around midnight and get home around 3. a lot of things that work elsewhere will not work in nyc.

They can congregate elsewhere just get the hell off the subway:camby:

Honestly I have no clue how to handle this. Bums aren't where they are due to financial trouble, they're mentally ill. There's no saving most of them.
