Once the city gets back to normal the subway will be running 24/7 again...
Normalcy is all but a figurative word now..
No matter the cure, pill or vaccine..
Humanity has many questions and situations ahead of us..
I can definitely see this crippling NY for a minute..
The City Officials and Governor are going to really..
Have to devise a more coherent contingency plan..
For the duration of this virus..
I can definitely see modify versions of this..
Happening in major cities that depend on Mass Transportation..
Cities opening or even extending..
Are going to have to plan effectively..
Because we are not going to see “normalcy”..
For a long ass time..

yeah, people work overnights in other cities, but in those cities, people are way more likely to have cars.

The Cities Where Going Car-Free Is Catching On

look at the list of cities, nyc is the only one where over half of the households do not own cars ... and this really is a 24 hr city, there are people who get out of work or start work at 3 ... or because of the way the trains run, you may finishing working around midnight and get home around 3. a lot of things that work elsewhere will not work in nyc.

I’m one of the few New Yorkers who drives everywhere (except Manhattan) and yea when I did overnight shifts it was always driving no question.

A lot of people work in the city late. This won't last because of the night life. They should have been cleaning the m Trains like that already. It kind of goes to show how much waste there is in the MTA. I don't touch anything when I get on the train. I've seen so much that I can't unsee.

2 days in a row I saw a homeless person go in between cars to use the bathroom while the train was moving and then touch every pole in the car.

Ppl are really pushing for the subway to be shut down overnight permanently :dahell:

Shut down the subway during the overnight in the city that never sleeps brehs :skip:

So many ppl that work odd hours, ppl coming home from a night out on the town, etc.
Exactly I'm a tall person, i cant stand on some crowded bus from midtown to the BX. :hhh:

And companies ain't paying for black car service for all their employees, they're cutting payroll :stopitslime:

This homeless situation got worse under DeBlasio. He took a hands off approach and this is what happened. I wouldn't be surprised if the next mayor is a republican :snoop:

Eric Adams isn’t a republican and I hope he wins.

There should be new laws of the American land when it comes to politics. Politicians should be from or raised in the location or territory they represent so a mayor should be raised in NYC.

The opportunity should be available to anyone who has a political background or education in public policy.

Not a rich cac who has connections to be a politicians.

I’ve actually had considerations to run for mayor of NYC.

I actually have a book of public policies myself that I constantly rendraft depending on the new things I learn in politics.

They will be. Aren't they the ones killing themselves because they can't compete with rideshare?

Yes and that’s the exact reason ride share exist lol.

Just realized something. You notice how green cabs barely exist? Lol.

Green cabs were also made to address that issue but rideshare beat them to it.
