I work in manufacturing there is not a lack of jobs. There is a large lack of companies willing to pay good wages/even pay above minimum wage.
In the US the past 40ish years there's been too much emphasis on 4 year schools, and not enough on learning a trade--and just working. Also a large part of the problem.
Imo, unless u are doing something that requires rare specialization like helping put together a f22 raptor or some other miltitary equipment, manufacturing in america is dead. Or if u just find the rare company that wants to push the made in america agenda and dont mind working and negotiating w/ unions.
The secret Republicans are keeping is that at some point they will go after the minimum wage. Jeb Bush let it slip a few times. Its only a matter of time.
I wish I would have learned to be a gunsmith. I love guns, and handfitted custum guns are in high demand.
