:dahell: nobody denies this

we're talking about the fact that THE talking point from the left is that Obama healed the economy, and allowed trump to start on third base with things like unemployment. which...I believe is true :yeshrug:

and if you don't think it's true, and you think obama's economy sucked in 2016, that's fine too. but I sure as fukk didn't hear anyone talking about how Obama's economy sucked in 2016

So what’s the point of contention? Seems like there’s agreement on both sides.

Part of it might be because a presidential candidate's proposed policies or platform are rarely, if ever, delivered.
Is there a wall?
Was it really Change We Can Believe In?
Was it really compassionate conservatism?
Was it really Putting People First?

I'm not asking for Biden to make unrealistic promises, only asking for him to make a case that's based on how he can move our country forward. What we are getting right now is some "I'm the one who can beat Trump" and "let's have a push up contest" type of bullshyt.

I believe him, he has a really good chance at beating Trump. But what happens when he gets into office?

i will openly admit that to you :yeshrug:

2020 is for taking back the white house, not naively believing that the country is gonna do a political 180 on an incumbent with low unemployment and a high stock market. even if the incumbent is human garbage

these far leftists are fukkin fulla shyt anyway. come november 1st when donald trump is in full nazi mode, in all his awful spray-tanned glory, lets see how many of these libtards are talking about staying home :childplease::mjlol::camby:

I think whoever wins the nomination needs to understand how to make a nuanced argument about the economy.

Yes unemployment is down, but are these people working longer hours and earning shytty wages really excited about that? "I'm working at Walmart, have awful benefits and live paycheck to paycheck...but oh boy employment is down 3.5%!" :blessed: "The stock market is high just like my student loan and credit card debt" :takedat:

But but the economy is good! For who? :francis:

honestly, we restore civility for a couple years

2020 is gonna be the ugliest election in the history of this country. if trump wins, the left is gonna be furious about this fakkit winning again while losing the popular vote AGAIN. if biden wins, trump supporters and his piece of shyt supporters in congress are gonna be almost confederacy status. its gonna be a fukking awful year

because that "exciting policy" is arguably a weakness in itself :ehh: especially in the electoral college, and especially when trump is an incumbent and not just the untested loudmouth he was in 2016

look man, if Bernie wins the nomination i'm voting for him. i'll even vote for warren. i'm just going with my gut after what we saw from America in 2016

and again, if Bernie would beat trump in a general election then he should CRUSH biden in an election that's comprised ONLY of democrats :dead: you should have nothing to worry about

Obama's economy had the same weakness as Trump's, it's top heavy. The midwestern states that Trump won didn't feel the effects of the recovery and weren't interested in Clinton's more of the same message. They took a chance on Trump but still aren't feeling the "good economy" the media keeps talking about. They aren't happy with Trump but aren't going to be excited to vote to go back to the Obama policies that were ignoring them just as much. Those people will be just as likely to stay home as they did last time. They would be more excited by Bernie's message because he is offering policies that would help them. Bernie won those states in the last primary and is beating Trump in those states in most polls and in some cases is the only Democrat beating Trump in those states.

The reason Bernie would have an easier time winning the general election over the primary is that he does best in swing states but Biden is going to get a lot of delegates by winning states that will definitely go to Republicans in the general election. For example Joe is leading heavy in South Carolina but do you believe he will have a chance there against Trump?

Impeached incumbent who cheated to barely scrape by a win last time.

Not a whole lot of precedent to go off of. But its not looking good for that man.

Worried is not my concern, he should drop out for the good of the impeachment trial and the party.

So until then you'll vote biden for the prospect of push up contests and hazy rambling?
i'll put it bluntly: WITH donald trump as the opponent, im taking almost the entire democrat base for granted. you cannot convince me that every single hillary voter won't show up in 2020 to vote trump out. 66 million people

add the 1 million swing voters that can stomach biden, but wont vote for "democratic socialism", and i think biden takes it. i just gotta go with my gut on this
