I'm still a sports head but I don't get emotionally invested like I use to.

For example when the cubs got swept in the 2008 nlds I wasn't even mad I was like . same thing when the bulls lost in the '11 ecf I was bothered but not upset.

I think success has somethin to do with it. None of my teams are successful come postseason since i been a fan. And they tend to lose in dramatic fashion. A lot of game 7 in my fanatical career. A lot of failure and shortcoming. fukk a moral victory. I'm tired of that shyt.

The Cowboys are 1-7 in the postseason, Rockets 1-7, Nats 0-1. Gerogetown had that one nice year when they lost to Ohio State in the final four. I need to see a championship (at least an appearance) before i can really mellow out.

Sports, is derived from the word disport, which means distraction. Sports are promoted because it creates tribalism and also channels and transmutes masculine energy from accomplishing your own goals and doing shyt, to cheering for a tribe(Team).

Most sports fanatics are in a place of purgatory, not going forward ,not going backwards.

For about 11 years I didnt follow the knicks much. Yankees I followed here and there

yeah i used to in my teens follow the nba religously but now with a full time career, bills, working out and going out i just cant follow nikkas that got 1 year contracts on a team and shyt

no. ive actually watched more sports as i get older. ive watched WAY more sports the last 4-5 years than when i was younger.
