I agree with OP for the most part but I will say that it depends on the context of the saying...yes it's good to know who's racist so you can be more aware of who you're dealing with but at the same time I'm not trying to normalize a racist being racist nor giving them that feeling of “normalness” and comfortability about being a racist “out in the open” as the saying itself can go either way.

See the real problem is that here on the coli inside the locker room you can't trust everybody who goes around saying that shyt...because there's a lot of posters who'll give “smart dumb/blanket” responses with barely any depth...on top of hidden cacs roaming around who deviously attempt to capitalize off sayings such as the aforementioned but with different motives in stored.

Basically it's not the saying itself that's the problem but the inner motives of certain ppl in question is the issue for me. IMO.

You might be being disingenuous. When people say that they like their racism "out in the open", they don't mean that they want to be harmed or want violence inflicted upon them. What it means is that they would rather a person that dislikes them be open and up front about it. That way, you can be avoided or dealt with accordingly. Display that hate so that we know what's up from the get go.

If I know that you hate me, I can avoid the food that you prepare, I can avoid speaking with you, being around you, etc.. As opposed to you secretly hating me, and then spitting in my food, sabotaging me behind my back, etc.. I'd rather see the snake that may bite me, as opposed to the snake being hidden.

A huge problem is a lot of our people are under the illusion that racism started the moment that Trump was elected. Thus some of us had a false sense of the real world around them. We have been slaughtered by police well before he came into power. Barry called us thugs for getting upset over Freddie Gray. Treyvon and Sandra Bland also received no justice. This was cool to some however as we had a "Black" man in office. This is no better than our people thinking things would be sweet because "The first black president" Bill Clinton could play the saxophone on Arsenio Hall. What we received under him was the 94 crime bill and being called super predators by his wife. Reagan flooded our streets with drugs but if you ask some of us you get the response that RaCiSm is No LonGeR a BiG tHinG because I can marry a white woman and we can get some positions that we did not have before. Before trump how was the wealth projection of black people? Before Trump how many CEOs of major companies were black? Racism has not changed much except the ugly mask has finally completely come off of this country and some folks (c00ns especially) are forced to see it. To me that was the one positive that came out of Trump winning in 2016 because it galvanized us as a people to see that the Caucasoid is the same as he is always been he was just forced to be more clever with his racism until recently. In short...Yes I like my racism out in the open.

i'm from the north which has just as many racists as the south but they keep it on the dl. i've been pretty happy with the proliferation of shyt like blue lives matter/confederate flags because it lets me know which businesses not to patronize. if they weren't in the open about it i might end up enriching one of these racists which would be a worse outcome than them flying some flag imo.

I'm from the North and racism here is just as open and out as it is in the South. Its never been "hidden." Black houses and communities were bombed in the North. Massive riots and pogroms against Black people happened in the North. Redlining and segregation happened in the North. Cops and cop-aligned whites kill Black men, women, and children almost every day in the North. The idea that it is not in the open has never made a lick of sense because it doesn't reflect any aspect of reality and never has.
