I support ADOS but the idea that its black immigrants or children of immigrants that are keeping ADOS down is baffling. The dominant society in the West is white. Do you think white people are distinguishing between an ADOS and someone like Obama? When it comes to police brutality or discrimination? When it comes to jobs? When black people get low offers for their house, do you think they are checking whether they are ADOS or not? When the neighbourhood gets gentrified are they checking whether they are ADOS or not? Which of the problems facing black america are caused by black immigrants?

I believe ADOS do face extra issues from the historical issues they are facing and have overcome, issues that are not faced by the usually upper/middle class immigrants. But these are not caused or exacerbated by the low levels of black immigration into the USA. Internationally black people love black americans and black american culture. ADOS need to have events, they need to have award ceremonies, they need to show off their culture the same way Nigerians or Ghanians do. What they dont need *(IMO of course) is to pretend that all their issues are down to the few Africans fortunate enough to get into the country.
