Black Americans are different than Nigerians are different than Ghanaians are different from Jamaicans idk why it’s such are hard thing for people to grasp :yeshrug:

We have different histories and we don’t share the same out look on things and we’re different culturally and even DNA wise.

Black Americans deserve to set our own boundaries when it comes to things about us just like everybody else gets too.

Everyone else can say whatever terrible shyt about Black Americans but as soon as we say something back we’re suddenly the xenophobic ones which is crazy to me.

Even though I’m not a pan Africanist and I don’t believe in a “black community” I have no beef with Africans or Caribbeans or any other black people (if they consider themselves black) It’s all Love :salute:

I just think that Black Americans should be recognized as our own thing and boundaries we set should be respected.
Isn’t it like that now? When I think of African American / black American I don’t think of Nigerian or Ghanaian.

I’m not being reactionary, I’m being practical. Black immigration has hurt us, because blacks people elsewhere lack any form of unity, and don’t understand white supremacy.

I want to put an end to identity politics. I want anymore Obamas, Kamalas, Ilhan Omar’s, Shirley Chisholm’ etc. these are immigrants, or people who were raised by immigrants who do not Identify with us.

no more White minds with black skin
So it's not about reparations. Just xenophobia.

That’s not xenophobia. What is wrong about the 20 million black Americans who were here before 1960 wanting their own classification? Their own scholarship opportunities?

what’s xenophobic about that? What’s not xenophobic about people moving into our
Communities with their parents talking down on us and prepping their children for anti black American thoughts?

I care less about Ados as an “organization”, and more about black Americans having their own classification.
Does it have anything to do with reparations for you or is it just about a government term? The government made plenty classifications when it was just us, Colored, Negro, etc. and the majority of immigrants that came here fell in as White. That’s what hurt us, for centuries at that, so I don’t get why y’all spend so much time talking about Black immigrants that most of our parents preceded. Or how yet another term achieves reparations.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
State your reasoning for being against reparations for Black Americans. And State why you’re offended by Black Americans wanting there to be cultural boundaries established. :jbhmm:

I wanna see something. :mjpls:

And this is mostly aimed towards black foreigners and children of black foreigners. :jbhmm:

you a black foreigner yourself and no I support reparations for black Americans

No, the reality is that everyone has used blackness to their advantage so much that the thought of losing a bit of the invisibility and ability to fit in feels like an attack.
I see this on twitter a lot every time someone tries to make that distinction or recognize black Americans as our own ethnic group

This is a loaded question. ADOS has attacked numerous Black Americans who are for reparations— including their own followers.

What is it that makes you think ADOS = Reparations or even Black Americans?
What did they do to earn those attacks. What is the context here? What else would ADOS mean if it’s not for black America’s? What are you getting at? :jbhmm:
