My Pops Forever RIP
Goat female performer :wow:

She was dancing while singing live and still sounded great, these new dudes tiller and lanes was out of fukking breathe every other word without the choreography. Hell usher came in the game around the same time as B and he couldn't hang either with his struggle performance

I guess that's what happens when your dad makes you sing while running on a treadmill in heels at a young age

People who've been to her show knows the greatness already, hopefully other get to see it now

I don't like her music tho. She oversings everything and she always comes across as unauthentic. With that being said, with her overproduced and oversung lyrics, she does perform them well. However, she has no classics. It's really her fanbase that has carried her into legendary status because they try to force the world to believe that her talent is something extraordinary when it's just that she's outworked and strategically outshines everyone since her DC days.
In my opinion even though Rihanna can't dance or sing as well she has far more appeal in what she offers as the total package. I don't think she cares about out shining everyone or staying on top like B does. I think Beyoncé is obsessed with staying on top while Rihanna just naturally creates her own lane and has a more playful/creative approach to maintaining her career.
B wins only because of her sheer will to out work and out last everyone but lacks true artistry and personality that truly make legends legendary.

Edit: B Day is a classic. The rest of her stuff is meh.

to me, elite is the likes of Jill Scott and few others. I don't put beyo on that level.
I feel you. I think its the TYPE of music that Bey makes that makes people not give her singing the credit it deserves. Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan makes more adult soul/urban type music which people equate with "church" type singing, whereas Bey makes alot of pop music and even these "trap" songs as of late which relies moreso on simple melodies and damn near sing songy "rapping". Go back to her Destiny Child days and you can hear more of her "soul" type singing.

.

I do think beyonce sometimes over sings but her vocals are great, she's just not elite. To me, Beyonce is the better combo of talent and stage performance between her and Rihanna. Rihanna has no real vocal talent which is why she switched her style up from a more solid R&B base to Dance-Pop. You don't need solid vocals doing Dance-POP. With that being said, Rihanna makes catchier singles for mass consumption than Beyonce but the shyt she makes could easily be some Katy Perry material:heh:
