Man y'all making me feel bad :mjcry:

I'm not a huge car person always had buckets till I got my park avenue which I loved paid cash .

Then someone hit me and i found another one but this time so many issues :mjcry:

I let it go and got a hand me down bucket from my pops who was tired of fixing his old Altima he got a maxima .

I'm very appreciative of the bucket but I want a newer car .

Always wanted a wrangler but what sucks it I bought my mom a new car .

Now I'm not mad at that I'm almost done paying her car .

I'm gonna try and get my truck next year by God's grace .

I plan on holding on to that truck for as long as I can .

I'm not a car person it's just one of my dream trucks just a really simple person when it comes to vehicles.

Don't buy an American made car.

my yearly repairs are probably below $1500, which makes NOT buying a new car well worth it.
My wife bought a new car and our yearly repairs on the Benz were 3500 and that was just a bandaid. Sealing a leak on the engine. Not safe. Combine that with needing 5 new tires and it was time to scrap it, friend

I agree. my wife out here trying to get a new car, when her current car is a 2013. I'm like :wtf:

I'm driving in a 2005, and not even considering a new whip. not trying to throw that money out the window.
Take care of that undercarriage, Chicago salt kills undersides of old cars, that's what happened to my Impala in college. I make great money now, but I have a Camaro and a Jeep, neither were over 15k.

I rarely drive my Camaro but my wife is talking about getting a new AMG. She makes crazy good money and I always drive her current Benz, so I'm not protesting it at all. :bron:

My girl has a nice whip. She's paying $600/month plus insurance. Plus it takes premium gas. She's regretting that purchase now cuz when you consider everything, she's contributing $1K a month to a car. I won't even get into maintenance. These euro cars :mjcry:

Me? I don't own one and don't plan on it as long as I live and work downtown. If you can avoid buying a car, do it.

my car is garage kept, and I don't even use it for work, so it's pretty much put away ALL the time unless I'm going somewhere. the salt is not so much an issue really.

my wife makes good money as well. she makes a little more than me, but that doesn't justify getting a new whip IMO when her current one is a 2013. I have had 2 cars in the last 15 years where she has had 5. and all were new when she got them. she's throwing money out the window with all these car notes.

I'm the one that's flush with cash and not her. and I'm the one who had house down payment money. not her, which just further exemplifies the total waste of having a car note.

Chicago teachers get fat checks, but those strikes, Jesus Christ it's every year with them, why won't they resolve? :francis:

A 2013 to me, is still a NEW car, shyt it's only 2016 now:laugh:. Why somebody wants a "newer new" car other than vanity I don't know, but that's life, can't take the money with you. :manny:

I thought i was the only breh that thought this way. If I was a single man I'd be living in Roseland or Back of the Yards.

man, I'm not living somewhere where my kids can't go outside. I'm good.

back of the yards don't even really have any black people.

speaking of roseland, part of it is nice. i'm talkin bout the area between state and king drive between 95th and 99th street.

that's what I say. she put 90K miles on that car already, but no one told her she had to take a job 35 miles away from the crib each way. that's on her.
