Forget "Doin it", Biggie would've destroyed the "Loungin" beat that LL wasted

by this logic biggie "wasted" the original one more chance since only the remix was a hit. who cares, LL ripped it

not really cuz it was played a lot and people discuss the original having a preference over the remix at times. MAD PEOPLE have no idea about the original "Loungin" or the fact that it's the ORIGINAL to the remix

Nah. The original One More Chance is basically a footnote in comparison to the remix. Same with Loungin. And both did their thing on the original songs. I honestly don’t even see Biggie releasing the original Loungin as a single either.

Da OG version of “Loungin’” has always been obscure. I’ve only ever heard it a few times. It was da first version I heard.

It can't be that obscure.
if it was on the tracklist.
to a platinum at height sales envelope record tho.
Where i wanna say.
ll was on nbc.
at the time on in the house.
Post debbie allen.
if i remember right.

So you were doing you.
as a top tier legacy style meets good ear based poster.

Its not really a good beat, or hook. The original Al B Sure songs dope so I don't know why.

If anything it could be a good beat for Mase.

People keep dragging this out to little purpose, because there isn't a track you can find that BIG wouldn't wreck more than LL ever could.

the fact that BIG told the producer which specifc samples he wanted to use for his first single, and the producer just gave em to LL instead, is truly fukked up. If it was just beats he cooked up on his own then by all means, that'd be fully understandable. But to jack the mans samples for his lead singles and sell em to somebody else??!?!! BIG should have had him beat down.

And the audacity this scumbag thinks he deserved a chance to get back cool with Big???

Speaking of LL taking tracks meant for Biggie, those weren't even the only ones on that same album – cuz Trackmasters have said they were keeping the 'I Shot Ya' beat for Big too, til Chris Lighty snatched that one up. And they based it around Biggie's 'Who Shot Ya' too:
Poke: “I remember we played him the ‘I Shot Ya’ beat. At first we didn’t even want to give him the beat because we wanted the beat for Biggie. But Chris Lighty was like, ‘No! You’re giving him the beat!’”

Tone: “It’s funny how the name came up because it was a beat for Big but it reminded everybody of ‘Who Shot Ya?’ And somebody in the room said, ‘This is not ‘Who Shot Ya? It’s I Shot Ya.’ And that’s how the title came up.
