It's funny cuz "pro" wrestling is the the only professional version of a sport that's fake. 
Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but why don't they just make a REAL wrestling league??

I had a feeling when you said "real wrestling" you didn't mean the real wrestling that exists but the shyt in WWE, but unscripted. A big reason we haven't seen more dudes straight up die in the ring is because it's fake. The athleticism is 100% real, but knowing what's coming allows these guys the ability to prepare to properly take and execute these moves.You missing my point though. WWE has proven they have a winning formula with fukkery. I was simply saying why not be able to drum up some drama around actual fights. Olympic wrestling has no fluff, nor does track& field. I'm talking about a league of fukkery involving wrestlers actually beating each other's asses. But like many posters before you mentioned, it doesnt matter how much fukkery surrounds the product, if the actual product is boring af it still won't work. I had no idea actual wrestling was that bad lol cuz the fake shyt was pretty lit, throwing nikkas through tables, climbing ladders for people's elbows n shytdamn the more I think about it it is pretty impossible to actually do that shyt for real lol

The moves you see in pro wrestling aren't practical nor effective breh. An actual wrestling match in the squared circle would be more in the vain of what the Gracies do. Simple shyt like slinging a dude into the ropes would make no sense. Pro wrestling used to be like that up until the 1920s then a group of promoters came up with the idea to make wrestling matches similar to westerns, one of those promoters was Jess McMahon, Vince's grandpa.

You’d have to legalize drugs as well. Half the reason these guys were able to kick the shyt out of each other 5 nights a week on the road was because they were loaded up on cocaine and steroids
I was just talking to my cousin (yes the same favorite cousin I always mention I'm discussing sports with) and we were reminiscing about the good ol days as kids when we used to wrestle each other, played all the wrestling games, and watched that shyt religiously on tv. Then we found out it was all fake and almost instantly hit the Seinfeld:
I abandoned that shyt at like 13 and ain't looked back since. But as I'm thinking about it, literally the only reason I stopped watching is cuz the fights were completely staged. Like I'm cool with the selling of the fights, all the promo cuts and fukkery backstage etc, but why can't the ACTUAL FIGHTS be real?? I mean it can't be the risk involved when the fukkin UFC exists so what the hell? There has to be a good reason and there's enough weirdo TSC brehs to school me on this shyt. I did not put this thread in TSC however because I refuse to go in that section of this forum. I believe it takes a different breed of negro to still be a fan of this fake shyt in their adult years and I just cannot relate. However, if you are a TSC breh, come on in here and speak your piece.
I am aware there are probably lesser known leagues of authentic wrestling, but that shyt is trash. I'm talking about taking the entertainment and flair of the WWE, old WCW, ECW, etc but actually making the fights real. Creating storylines and shyt based on the actual outcomes of real matches as opposed to just staging every damn thing. NFL and NBA do a spectacular job of dramatizing their leagues and making shyt interesting outside of the game itself while still not having to fake shyt, I don't know why wrestling can't do the same.
it wouldn't be the same, unless you have seasons that start and end every year like the NFL and NBA. To run it continuously like boxing or UFC changes it completely and can swing the money too wildly.
One quick example for you ... say if boxing was fake like wrestling ... go back a couple of years when Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua were undefeated champions.
If it were wrestling, you protect those guys as they become popular then you have the big event at Wrestlemania in front of ~65~85k fans.
Actual fights run the risk of having actual upsets, then top guys don't look so good anymore after they've been exposed by someone who wasn't seen to be on their level.
If that was run pro wrestling style, that huge paycheck would have been cashed. Now it is forever lost.
Yup. Bart Gunn was never seen as a legitimate guy so when he started winning real fights, they had no idea how to promote him as he had never connected with the crowds during or before that. Then he got squashed by Butterbean later on and that was the end of his story.

They had Real Pro Wrestling, Inc back in the early 2000s.... I know Daniel Cormier wrestled in it.
This is the closest thing to what you're asking for. Now these are legendary highlights because they don't happen that often. Imagine fights where this shyt happened every few minutes, just to end with something even crazier. Needless to say there'd be a lot of slow singing and flower bringing
