Saw this at the end of my local news last night because he played for a triple A team here for a bit and was like :wtf:

They said he died from a coma but was it drug induced :mjpls:

Dude on Reddit gave an in depth backstory and conclude it was probably drugs

if this is true then it explains why he fell off and was out of the league so quickly. after looking at his stats it makes you wonder

2009: 11-4 ERA 2.89
2010: 10-11 ERA 3.33
2011: 11-7 ERA 3.60
2012: 13-10 ERA 4.48
Traded to Los Angeles Angels
2013: 4-3 ERA 5.42

Overall: 49-35 ERA 3.80

even with the ERA steadily rising each year, those are good enough numbers that should have kept him in the league for more years. it makes you wonder if the Braves knew what was up and traded him because of it? either way RIP

His fall off was precipitous, he was supposed to be a mainstay in our rotation for 10 years after those strong early years. I'm sure the team knew

I hate to be that guy, but had this been a n1gga, drugs would be the first thing out of everyone's mouth... Everywhere I saw this story, for the most part the comments have been on some :whoa: about drugs being the cause.

Word. I'm thinking, organs don't just fail catastrophically on their own in a 29 year old body....What kind of cause of death is that? :wtf:
