They went for more realistic, dramatic lighting which is why they usually show gameplay with overcast sky's, sunsets, ect to further promote that idea.
But in plain flat daylight it's clear that forza has the better textures and details.

Previews say the game is project gotham racing spiritual successor. if we can keep it 200, the only reason they're being compared are because it's exclusives. funny how the crew which is supposed to be more like forza is hardly mentioned.
All in all, all that "established" mumbo jumbo is irrelevant to me, a dope looking games catches my interest. Tomb raider got eclipsed by Uncharted and that wasn't established.
Basically, forza is done when driveclub releases. Nikkas want to not give the game its props cuz it's the new kid on the block.

I can understand this opinion. But that comes down to art style.
You can look at the two pictures I posted and see that forza is more detailed graphically. The road texture, the shadows/lighting on the car, the dirt accumulating on the car(which also washes off in the rain
), the cars can take more damage, and on top of all that you can drive to those balloons in the distance. In that driveclub picture you can't even hit that rock in front of you cause there's an invisible wall sitting in front of it.

No. That's a new picture from gamescom. Both taken with the same camera. Any loss of detail would hold true for both pictures.
