Cause often “best QB” and “best player to play the QB position” are different things. And it’s really hard to filter out things in general in football.
And if you consider the fact that QB skills changed over time for various reasons, no limited to rules. Like a passer rating/QBR from the 90s that you make you an mvp candidate would barely get you regular season headlines in the golden era.
Then of course adjusting for team, like o-line, receivers, play calling etc. Clutchness is very important since in the end the whole game is about winning and delivering in bowl games, so how does that filter in.
Other than, name wise I can’t argue
