I like ESPN. There is no way FS1 will be as good - as much as we clown on ESPN, their coverage of most events is solid and their (few) investigative journalism shows cannot be rivaled by even Real Sports.

I am curious to see what FS1 does though. Competition is always good.

That 11 p.m. block with SportsCenter/Olbermann/the FS1 show with the Canadian guys is gonna be :whew:

Real Sports' investigative journalism shyts all over ESPN's.

No way. Pumping out OTL on a daily basis and actually BREAKING STORIES > Real Sports once a month

I'm a fan of both, but there's no competition IMO.

Not to mention the bonus of having The Sports Reporters taking on some real issues in their panels.

Just this summer, TJ Quinn scooped the Johnny Manziel and Ryan Braun stories.

Channel finder is on their site = http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsports1#. For DirecTV = 219, Dish = 150. You'll have to use the finder for the others. Most likely it'll take the place of the Speed Channel, so wherever that is on your provider.

Their Fox Sports Go app won't be launching just yet though. Guess it's not ready to go --> http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2013/08/15/Media/FS1-Carriage.aspx

EVERYWHERE BUT HERE: FS1 will launch without its TV Everywhere application, Fox Sports Go. The app, which was widely expected to be available at launch, is not ready. "We're still testing it and working out the bugs," said Fox Sports VP/Communications Chris Bellitti. "It's a very complex app that will use one-of-a-kind authentication for live streaming. We want to make sure it's rock solid before we release it." There is no timeframe for when the app will be available. When it does launch, the app will feature live streaming to authenticated subscribers from FS1, over-the-air affiliates and Fox's RSNs. Network execs have promised about 1,100 live events a year on Fox Sports Go.

This is why I think ESPN will always be on top, beating ESPN at their own game will take more than Erin and Clarissa. 1. No one can really touch ESPN here with the exception of Yahoo sports, ESPN is pretty good with an overall sport coverage, NBC and FOX might have them on football and/or baseball but in general ESPN is quick enough that even if they are not actually first no one cares in this internet age.

Your second point is where I think Fox could steal some of ESPN's thunder. They have the personalities to rival a First Take, ATH and PTI but they have to do it in a way that's not a blatant ripoff and even if it is a ripoff it better be so good that no one cares. Like Fox Sports hiring Rigis, Gary Payton and McNabb? I like Regis and the Glove and all but that's not making change the channel from SAS and Skip, Magic and Bill Simmons.

3. This will make or break Fox Sports, I think people will tune in (myself included) just because I'm burned out on ESPN running every story into the ground (OTL is cool, though for the way they present their stories) and just want something different, they need that one show to make people tune in and that's a big challenge with ESPN having major control over the GOAT sports.

True. BUT, where ESPN is messing up is they have let alot of their good talent go the past several months, they've cancelled shows, etc. If they were still rolling along at full strength it'd be a diferent story.

The timing for FS1 couldnt possibly be better. They're gonna have their own daily NFL show like ESPN's NFL 32 or whatever that's called. And it's gonna have the guys from FOX NF Sunday.

The only thing that bothers me is all the NASCAR and UFC stuff I'm seeing. But they have to pander to an entire audience so it is what it is.....

They'll have their work cut out, but if they come thru for CFB, NFL, MLB and later NBA they'll have a strong start

I dont have cable(not ashamed to admit it) and I've been :eat: real good off of watch espn online. So hopefully Fox Sports 1 comes through with some legitimate streaming option to compete. I'll be extra good then

All good points being made…competition is always good interested to see how Fox does since to see a daily soccer show for the diehards but ESPN really is the unquestioned GOAT and will be for awhile.

But my God Fox should just come through with a late late night show with Erin Andrews and Charissa…

Those photos got me like :shaq::wow::myman::ohlawd:
