how much writing yall trying to say rah digga had done for her? i've heard her freestyle a lot...so i'm kinda skeptical about any enormous claims. i'm tired of yall trying to discredit females for some collaborators (some of these chicks were having their rhymes straight written tho) when some of the most successful males in the past 10 years (ye drake and wayne) clearly have gotten away with having full rhymes written.

Yea that's what I was sayin. I've seen Rah Digga kill freestyles n all that. Maybe her man helped her a little bit but I'm not sure about nikkas tryna write her off like she ain't write shyt.

i dont think Jigga or Nas wrote entire verses for Inga..my guess is they showed her how to structure her bars better and probably laced her a with a few lines here and there. But the Foxy i knew could always spit and i knew that girl since way back

In regard to Lauryn's writing and production (or lack thereof), it seems nobody wrote rhymes for her. Those were her words according to this article, which even includes statements from the producers who sued her:

Inside 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'

Thas what I'm saying maybe those dudes added a hook and only got credit for a line or a bridge whatever.

I'm talking about her raps not her r&b shyt. Are those bars undeniably not hers.

If they are hers then lauryn is a certified mc.

Foxy Brown really put the dancehall scene on before Drake.

Baby Sham, Spragga Benz and other dancehall artists were amoungst her collaborators. She even addresses other female rappers in the 2nd verse of this song...

:dj2:

But yeah,

They never give her credit. There was a point in time when she was dropping classics w jay z and nas and all the greats.

Missy wrote classic song after classic song & at least has more than 1 album

Latifah is pure icon & has hip hop anthems & classic songs for days on deck & became a great actor

Lil kim is one the greatest female emcees ever & foxy & nicki are her children

Salt & pepa are pure icons that inspired foxy & lauren to even want to pick up a mic

Lauran kinda overrated to me her 1 album wasnt a hip hop album & non of you nikkas was listening to the fugees :comeon:

Mia x >>>>>> lauren hill as a rapper imo :ld:
Every single human listened to l hill:leostare:

Was trina there? Gotta say, trina had a whole legion of women treating nikkas like tricks in 00/01....before Wayne had her making songs like single again :mjlol:
I feel like

TRINA IS A LEGEND. her influence is still heavy in the chicken head streets

It's Dirty Harriet for me but Zee might've wrote it all :francis:

See I don't believe that because there are between 5-10 people in the Outsiderz family who use the SAME rhyme patterns. You can even include D12, because they spawned off of that flow too. When you really think about that multi-syllabic flow, it's a cheat code to make a rap more melodic & engaging. Plus it makes a person sound lyrical, even if they aren't REALLY saying anything. Once you have that pattern down, you can say anything and sound good.

Pace Won might be the only one who uses different patterns. Or maybe he's rapping much slower, but he sounds different.

In any case, it's the patterns that make them sound good, I don't think any of them are GREAT writers unless you include Eminem. So once you get the pattern down, the easiest way to rank the people using that style is by voice.
Rah Digga and Pace arguably have the best voices in the crew.
Zee is the most clever, but his voice is off putting to many. Plus his rhymes are so full of childish boasts, I don't know if he could take all the humor out of his rhymes if he tried. Rah Digga wasn't funny like that.
