The thing is if you play the game long enough you naturally pick up this technique through trial and error.
The simplest explanation is that you do a move that is plus on block. You think follow that up with a small gap to bait out someone mashing a button. The best frame traps are ones tight enough to punish a jab from the opponent because that is generally the fastest move they have.So let me get this right? Frame traps are basically getting an opponent to tech throw after you've conditioned them to defend the throw and blowing them up with normals while they are open?
This dude is autistic man... Straight called @Liquid an ass hole for no reason then told him to "buzz off" like a little white kid in 1992.
smh
ExactlyI've never learned frame data fighting. shyt is too :badman: for me.
I play fighting games like the homie Marn, fukk that data, I'm going in with straight muscle memory.

Don't get me wrong it's a part of the game, but to RELY on it? Combos are what I am focusing on soon and then at the very end frame trapping defensive fighters.???????????

Exactly
I be likeeverytime dese nikkaz talking bout frames and studying frame data I'm like
Nikka relax
I learn everything by playing the damn game
Fck dat extra sht
Pros get hit with frame traps all the times. They're not something you only rely on, they're something you use for pressure and when you've noticed opponent keep pushing buttons.
You don't have to know the exact data, but you indirectly learn which moves come out faster than others, and which ones you gonna use to punish shyt with. So yeah, not knowing what is plus what or minus whatever is one thing, but people who play the game seriously will learn this shyt indirectly so to speak.Exactly

You just know what moves to move in various situations, that's all it is. I never go into a fighting game saying, "how many frames is this move", after playing it, I know what moves my character has that is fast, lol, and that's what will be used to either interrupt someone or punish etc.
