He is probably the most overrated coach in my lifetime. Mike Vick made him and he never came close to being back at a national championship game. Especially since he always had pro talent.

Nah he had some pretty good years before these last few duds and redefined how special teams should be played.
He just don't have it anymore and it shows

He took tech from nothing to a consistent top 25 team. Tech wasn't supposed to do jack when they tagged along with Miami to the ACC but always went to the title game.
Beamer is tech football. He just failed to change with the times and allowed shytty ass UVA to poach VA talent. I hope he stays with the program in some capacity and I'm glad they didn't fire him. He was allowed to go out on his own terms as it should have been.
It was time for him to move to a different stage in his life. The game is passing him by and I think that he started to realized it. I wish him the best
