He took tech from nothing to a consistent top 25 team. Tech wasn't supposed to do jack when they tagged along with Miami to the ACC but always went to the title game.

Beamer is tech football. He just failed to change with the times and allowed shytty ass UVA to poach VA talent. I hope he stays with the program in some capacity and I'm glad they didn't fire him. He was allowed to go out on his own terms as it should have been.
That's exactly my point. I get that he built Tech, but he became complacent for a long time. Dmv is probably the most underrated area in terms of football talent because it overshadowed by bball players. He was great at two phases of the game in defense and special teams, but offensively, it was :francis:

Should have probably retired after the Sugar Bowl loss in 2011.... he's gonna be 70, the game passes you by at some point :manny:

Bout damn time. He may have built the program, but he let it deteriorate to joke status.

DMV football wil be better for it.
