I hate anything with a guitar in it :scust:

I also don't understand what people see in Frank Ocean.

I love music with guitar in it  different strokes for different forks i guess. Frank Ocean is a very talented writer, he sings and raps quite well too but just like other artists, he is not for everyone. Frank is not like a big superstar or anything, the small number of us that vibe with his music like him so we get hyped every time he drops something.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way.....if it ain't a bass guitar or acoustic in certain settings I'm not trying to hear it basically

Do people really not see what Jay's saying in his verse?
His lyrics are better than Tyler's, the only issue is his voice and the flow.

So I've listened about 5 or 6 times and Jay doesn't belong on this

He's a legend but this was a terrible effort imo

Tyler killed it
Jay was BLATANTLY biting franks style of songwriting, that's why he sounded so weird

20 seconds in and im like this all sounds exactly like some shyt frank would say (and make sound way better imo)

"Biting" why the fukk can't people write in different ways? Why is everything considered biting (and usually only with Jay)?
And nah, this is the at Jay's been writing for awhile and it has typical Jay bars but just in a different structure, it's no different than what Tyler's doing on the track.

i didn't say jay couldn't write a different way, he's got a million and one flows. im a fan of jay nikka take the cape off and be objective about it

this particular flow is VERY ocean-esque....and on a song with Ocean....from Jay-z....who is already known for soaking up other people's style from time to time. You can't listen to Blonde or Endless and then play this verse and tell me he didn't try to tap into the same style frank had on those albums. He even used the same cadences that are ALL over those 2 albums

you're adding a negative connotation to the term biting, everyone in art bites from someone in someway at the end of the day, it's only a problem when that style doesn't seem right coming from you (obviously rap fans are a little more intense but that's because it's a young person's genre and alot of them think shyt is original when it isn't)

In this situation Jay woulda been better off doing him instead of trying to bridge the gap between him and frank

And tyler did the same thing so idk why you mentioned his verse, he never raps like that normally
