Right. The difference between Wanna Know and War Pain tells you as much. Meek was also on tour. Had War Pain been for Back to Back instead of Summer Sixteen, Meek wouldn't have been a meme for that little while.

I get it, this generation wants immediate stimulation/satisfaction thanks to social media. But the chatter is temporary...if you rush out a wack diss, that shyt is forever b. You hold that L until the end of time. I'd rather Push take his time and come correct, because he gotta know a lot of people will declare him the loser 10 seconds after pressing play.

I'm not saying Pusha can take 5 months to respond but you get my point. We've already seen what happens when you rush, when you got bad people around you, when you don't think this thru. I'm gonna BET that Diddy and a whoooole lot of people are in Pusha's ear right now, saying "what you gonna do fam." Giving him advice, gassing him up, telling him time is wasting. He's presumably smarter than Meek so he won't make the same mistake. Listen to good advice, ignore bad advice, and then shoot your shot when you ready.

Push has had GW's relax, Ye wrote for him on My name is my Name...its not that big of a deal. Especially when anyone can get a writing credit for saying "hey add a comma right there".
And yes he has to reply immediately for two reasons. Drake has already proven that he can come with heat and finish a dude off in a week. Meek not only ethered himself with stealing the Undertaker track, but then mentioning Q's name. Who even said he knows people who write for Meek...tombstone right there. As for Push, if "rap is so easy" as he exclaims, then it should be simple to spit some bars. Now that doesn't mean they're gonna be good, because 6God hit him with the 8 mile, but it shows some effort.
Ultimately Push lost for even attempting, especially when he's not even on the same level. Pusha makes it a hot bar, Drake makes it a hot song.

Difference is though, Drake had a lot on Meek that he could use. I don't think that's the same with Pusha. The only real knock is that Drake could say that Push wasn't really a kingpin like that. But that's no big deal, Rick Ross was aired out for being a corrections officer by 50 and Ross is still doing fine. And that was a MUCH bigger deal, and also was happening a point in time where stuff like that still wouldn't usually fly.
It's also possible that he had this stored up for a while, heard the Infrared track, made some alterations and then dropped it. I doubt he heard it for the first time on Thursday night. Either that or he was waiting and had something in mind if the situation ever occurred.
