YG has/ had the rap games hottest producer in his back pocket. A producer that even Jeezy used for beats. YG and mustard already had shyt sewed up. Jeezy was just the icing on the cake.


It's kinda how jay z was takin credit for jeezys success when TM101 dropped. When in reality jay z didn't really do shyt but use his name to give Jeezy an extra boost.

Jeezy already had the streets on lock with come shop with me and the gangsta grillz tapes and the boyz in the hood buzz he had. Jay didn't deserve a pat on the back for jeezys success simply because he was president of def jam. The same thing holds true here with Jeezy and YG

Can't really claim that it brocket. About 150k sold thus far on his debut street album, 80/100 on metacritic.
Which is about 50% of what Ross Ross has moved thus far and about 60-70% of what Schoolboy has done the only comparable albums in recent memory.

Not everyone can move units like Schoolboy Q with their debut (or third album if we count his indie shyt) or Asap for that matter. They managed to capture the hipster shyt that poppin in hiphop, some of the street and the clubs which is pretty uncommon.
