Freddie Gibbs long talked about his family in songs and plenty of interviews. He even explained due to him being the oldest and didn't have no one to look up to led to him fall in love with the streets and his siblings seeing what he went through be partial motivation to take a different direction.

AK is a fat troll that's in his feelings and thinking that pulling an 8-Mile "Freddie is Clearance" move that he was raised up in a good home is exposing him, when at the end of the day... nobody really cares when you continue to put out dope music.

White media brainwashed blsck people into believing having a healthy family dynamic makes you less credible. That shyts strategically done to keep nikkas lost.

Freddie Gibbs is a Grammy nominated musician, his pops is a career cop, and his brother is a doctor.

If they were white, it would be considered an American success story. A family from one of the murder capitals turned life around and began creating generational wealth. That’s something that should applauded

But because he’s black and makes street music, it’s painted negatively like it makes him and any of his life experiences less credible

Y’all would respect this nikka if his pops was a fiend and his brother was a murderer tho huh. That’s the story nikkas glorify and hold up fondly. Insane

do y’all think all people who come from good upbringings grow up to be good kids?

No but if your dad is a cop and the rest of your siblings are middle class upstanding members of society, joining the Vice Lords in your 30s and pretending to be Nino Brown strikes me as...performative. I like Gibbs' music but come on.

He was always on that tip but I really think he went overboard when Griselda showed up and Durk started becoming that dude. He's so used to doing this stuff to impress or scare white boys in Malibu that maybe he doesn't see how goofy it is.
