That being said.. Cole could still smoke this nikka lyrically if he actually battled. But he won’t. So Gibbs wins by default.

I agree with the sentiment, but does it really count as courage when you have ghostwriters lacing your tracks? Like, do any rap fans who are not pre teens think that Drake actually wrote his songs at Kendrick? Forget the collection, the verses in his songs contradicted the prior or later verse in at least 2 of his songs. That’s what the biggest tell was he did not write it to me.

As for Cole and Gibbs, I don’t have a dog in this fight, I think I listen to their music equal amounts ish. Just think it’s funny, everyone can make comments at Cole, except the actual rappers. It’s like telling a Ball player to stick to sports if they make a comment about Politics, but you can comment about Politics all day long if you’re an Electrician.

Scottie Pippens is goated but I can name multiple verses post 2017 that are similar level for Cole breh s*** I can spin ROTD 3 and endless on there alone. Someone in this section got it right whenthey said Cole has become that 99-03 Eminem as far mastering the rap about rapping lane when he knew he couldn't compete with the artistry of Kendrick nor have the versatility in demographic regarding the Candaian. Far as voice control, cadence, and flow, yeah Gibbs is one-of-one (though Cole isn't a slouch). His actual lyrical toolkit is slightly above-average southern/midwest status as far as wordplay, metaphors and other technical aspects. Cole is basically a NYC retro transplant with the s*** he's leagues ahead.​

I actually agree with most of this, unfort the fact he went out like a hie tarnishes his rappity rap bars. Ps caddy one of fav verses ever but I cain help but roll my eyes a bit now lol
