MPJ still has a ways to go esp on defensively but he is best candidate to be the go to scorer the Nugs need. Murray is a #3

This is basically his 1st year so to those throwing salt due to a bad 1st playoff game are short sighted as hell

not only that but people act that Murray had a great playoff run last year. He was terrible in that spurs series last year and was inconsistent in the blazers series. The nuggets need porter and a new coach. Malone is bad and has to go if they ever want to win a title.

Nah, nikka.

Ain't no short-sightedness about it. @Squirrel The Casual Man was all up in here, all season, beating his chest over MPJ being their best player, when he ain't even close to it. There's a reason why I upped this thread. He should be treated as a first-year player, not hyped up to be anything beyond that.

I'm wondering if he actually will improve on defense cause it seems to be a speed thing.. Unless it's back related and he's still coming on slow he's not going to get magically faster. He's being attacked with kick outs to the three point line where he can't get there in time and also on ISO where he doesn't have the foot speed.

And I like him as a player

Wasn't there some guy who said that Porter would be the best player on the Nuggets the moment he stepped on the court and bring them a ring or some shyt like that? :sas1::sas2:

The fact that you still try to up this horrible take. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

You said he would be the best player on the Nuggets the MOMENT he stepped onto the court. He's been playing a full year and he still ain't worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence as Murray or Jokic.

Decent but unreliable scorer, needs other guys to set him up, absolute shyt defender, and doesn't create anything for other players. Even if he eventually gets reliable on scoring he's still not bringing the shyt to the table that Denver's actual stars bring, not at his current stage of development.

MPJPLS been struggling during the playoffs. Did get 12 boards with his 2 points he’s got a knack for rebounding and obviously a gifted and natural scorer.

But he needs to at least get at least tolerable on defense and his overall on court awareness. Boy be looking lost off the ball on top of his horrid defense. Still don’t see why he can’t be a cornerstone of a franchise with his scoring ability at 6’11. It’s good experience he’s getting by playing in these games but he’s got a way to go to reach his potential.
