Relax. Malone is trying to build the “you have to earn it” culture. Jokic and Murray didn’t play much their rookie years either. MPJ will be getting 20 mins a game by all star break.

This isn’t the same thing though, remember Jokic was behind Nuric who is a beast until he got injured. Murray was behind Mudiay who the nuggets had just drafted the year before and needed to develop him.

their is no logical reason, none for MPJ not to get 5-7 minutes a game none. Barton and Craig’s ceilings are no where near his and his floor is most likely higher than their’s as well.

everything that has been reported about him this training camp and how he has looked in preseason warrants some burn Malone is just being stupid at this point.

Yea it’s baffling. Barton is hot trash. I’m shocked they didn’t flip him off-season nobody wants that contract now. Craig is nothing also. Let Porter get some burn
I'm pretty sure thats the point of letting craig and barton play. To increase their trade value. Denver is stacked which is a good thing, but in order for them to make that playoff push successfully they're going need to shed some dead weight.

Both barton and craig could be contributors somewhere else. But the logic is to increase their value now.

Not sure Craig would really get much in a trade right now no matter how well he plays in the next couple months, but that’s definitely true of Barton. He took a discount to come back here, so if he could get back to the 15/5/4 guy he was before the injury last year, there will be takers.

Craig is a decent 3&D cat.....

He can at least guard 1-4.......

Heck he was making it hard for lillard in the playoff....

I gurantee they'll be takers.

Wasn't there some guy who said that Porter would be the best player on the Nuggets the moment he stepped on the court and bring them a ring or some shyt like that? :sas1::sas2:
That would be me (minus the ring talk) and he would be the best player on the floor. :yeshrug:

Only a casual or someone with an agenda (most of the haters in this thread :mjlol:) would say Jerami Grant and Wil Barton are better than him. Mike Malone is a tread water coach for a reason.

Barton been underwhelming since signing the big contract. Injuries hampered him last year. At his best he’s a spark plug on offense but is wild inconsistent.

Pure overstatement to say Craig is nothing. Solid defender and has added some things on the offensive end so the opposing team has to pay attention to him.

I’m not worried about the slow approach in bringing MPJ in. He’s a rookie with a significant injury history. We got time to bring him into the fold. If he can stay heathy I’m sure the plan is to have him in the regular rotation and eventually starting at the 3.

I don’t mind keeping Craig, he is a good bench player. Will Barton is a better bench player then starter and works better with the second unit where he can be the offensive centerpiece and he is making too much money.
