no one said he was better than those three players but he possibly could be in the long run and I have no problem saying at the very least he is a better shooter than Craig, Barton, and Grant.

i liken this to kobe when he was drafted was he better then Byron Scott, Eddie Jones and nick Van exel at first no he wasn’t but he needed that playing time off the bench to develop and adjust to the league.

MPJ could develop into a superstar but he gets no burn he does not grow and you could be squandering a gold mine but keeping him on the bench

You weren't here for the conversation where Squirrel from Meteor Man claimed MPJ would be the best player on the Nuggets the moment he stepped onto the court. That's what we were referring to and making fun of.

I have no problem with saying that MPJ has great potential and could one day be great (though anyone of the slightest age knows that there is almost never a sure thing in the NBA). It's claiming that he was already that good based off of high school games played during the Obama Administration that I was mocking.

I mean come on how, this is the guy who said the Nuggets were treading water with Malone as coach and who thought he was downplaying Jokic by equating him to prime Sabonis. :francis:

What makes Jokic so unique? If Sabonis was in the league during his prime, he would’ve been Jokic.

:mjtf:

You just asked, "What makes Jokic so unique" and then you said he was the equal to prime Sabonis??? :mindblown:

"Man that Luka is really being hyped too much, I don't see him as anything more than another Larry Bird."

"Why are people so high on Zion, he's just Shawn Kemp with a three."

"I'm not going to start getting excited about Trae Young until he can prove he's more than just another Steph Curry."

Malone better wise up quick. This is what? Year 3 of Denvers Championship window now? Them shyts close real quick just ask Boston. MPJ need to see the court early and often if they wanna survive this Western Conference Bloodshed. Not saying he'll lead the team in scoring this year but he could easily get you 13-15ppg off the bench if he sees consistent minutes.

Yup, when Denver was coming off a 40-42 season, Durant had just moved to the Warriors, and the Nuggets were primed to be led in scoring by a 22yo Jokic, a 23yo Harris, and a 20yo Murray, I remember everyone was saying, "This is Year 1 of Denver's championship window."

This is the first year that window been open in the Malone era :dwillhuh::what:

They went to the playoffs for the first time last year and that was the first time in 7 years. Nobody was realistically thinking they could contend for a championship. They overachieved.

You saying they need MPJ to play “early and often” in order for Denver to survive the West is purely your opinion. Denver got within one game of reaching the WCF without MPJ. I’m not saying he won’t help and that he doesn’t need the opportunity to play. The hyperbole is wild though. Y’all sound like a bunch of Skips and Stephen As.

I thought they been a top seed the last 3 seasons. My bad. :yeshrug:

They do need to play him asap because just about every top team in the west got better except them. He has the most potential and the highest ceiling of anybody on that squad. You damn right he need to be playing.

They did get better. :why: Jerami Grant is a good player. Also these young players got better with a year of playoff experience. They can take their time in transitioning him into the regular rotation, they’ll be fine. :stopitslime:

So easy :mjlol: as expected. “But but Mike Malone he WuZ assIstaNT CoACH oV da YeAr”

@Rhakim @Codeine Fiend Dream Team casual stat geeks
How shameless do you need to be to shift the argument like this?

:picard:

Unless you're insinuating that because he scored one bucket due to a defensive miscue that it proves your theory of him being the best player on the Nuggets?
