Lets imagine they proved that free will doesn't exist in a way that totally satisfies everyone with the explanation. From the nerds to the simpletons, religious to hedonists - everyone is now in agreement that they are little more than sentient meat puppets.

What happens next on The Coli? What about you personally? How would this make you think or would there be no point because you won't be doing anything other than reading the script that is fed and fooling yourself into believing you thought of it as you stroll around this big ass Truman Show in outer space whilst being pulled by invisible strings.

Whats going on inside your head as you consider this? Remember, for the sake of the thought experiment, everyone agrees with the proof that free will doesn't exist. What are the implications for the human race if this was proven to be the case?

If free will doesn't exist then people are acting in accordance to their programming and all decisions and reactions are hard wired. There are no truth claims along with no objective or subjective reasoning.

You are going to get the religious rubes and numbskulls upset with your post but you are correct.

At the end of the day, free will does not exist

Casuality has dictated our lives from the very creation of the universe

Quantum Theory and the independent variable problem refute Determinism (i.e. 'Cause-and-Effect').

Blame science, not religion.

Categorically false.

the basis of quantum physics, the wave function sets a determinislitic pattern for all particles.

However we as humans do not have the current technology to make those calculations.

Which is why its called a theory.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Categorically false.
True since there has never been a truly independent variable found in science to prove determinism to be true.

There's also the problem of defining what 'Free Will' actually is, a necessity in order to 'falsify' it.
