French Montana says beef is bad for business when it comes to 50 Cent, comments on the past beef between Lil Wayne and Pusha T.

G-Unit head honcho 50 Cent is no stranger to beef, from a good natured album sales battle with Kanye West to his past, turbulent riffs with former G-Unit members including Game and Young Buck, beef has always seemed to makes it way to the Queens rapper.

While 50 Cent may not be too concerned with his past issues with artists, fellow New York City spitter French Montana recently spoke on Fifty’s rap beef being bad for business and the reason why he believes Rick Ross has become more successful than the rapper.

“I feel like beef hurt him. I feel like it helped Ross unite people,” Montana explained during an interview with Complex.com. “That’s why Maybach Music is one of the biggest labels. It just makes sense…Of course, Ross is on his fifth album. And like I said, he’s only getting bigger. This is going to be Ross’ first platinum album. He never went platinum. So when 50 came up, 50 sold 10 million. Then after his first album he just kept on going down. You think 50 could come out and sell 10 million now?”

The “Stay Schemin” rapper took somewhat of a contrary view when speaking on the past beef between G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T and Young Money’s Lil Wayne, stating that the issue between those two artists was “good” for Hip Hop.

“For some people it’s competition for them. It’s good for hip-hop…Yeah. Pusha T and Lil Wayne's [beef] ain’t nothing serious,” said the rapper. “If Wayne feels like [it’s real beef] then you know Baby would have got involved. Things like that, it’s good for hip-hop. If nobody got shot, it ain’t beef.”

Although an exact date has yet to be revealed, French Montana still plans on releasing his debut album Excuse My French before the year is up.

It's bullsh*t. If 50 continued makin music the quality he was earlier on he would still be poppin. Simple.

Beef has nothing to do with it. All the people 50 beefed with aint relevant either.

Gotta commend 50 and the unit for how they did their projects tho. G unit album didnt have any features and went like tripple plaque.
That maybach album had the whole rap game on it

nah.. a large part of 50s appeal at the time was his Beef with Murder Inc who were running shyt.... he was the underdog and everyone was rooting for him...

Dude just took that formula and basically beefed with basically everyone that wasnt signed to shady/aftermath.... shyt got boring

Fif not going to be mad, he said nothing disrespectful, just offered up an opinion, which has an element of truth to it. I think he's doing a lot of wishful thinking and trying to hold down his camp with rose colored glasses.
