kumon.. i was one of them lil asian kids breh



there was lots of times where my family couldn't afford it.. and they'd keep sending me until kumon wouldn't let me in..


until i got home and found out my mom had stolen a bunch of math packets and shyt..

a math packet is a terrible thing to waste
a lot of the Kumon and Huntingtons are in malls you know how depressing that is for these lil yungns

i moved up in the organization and had to tell some of these parents the results of their kids' evaluations. the hoodrats and white trash parents were but when an asian kid wasn't doing geometry in 4th grade, the parents would start gasping and clutching their chests and panting and crying

asian parents are just strict as fukk and don't take any nonsense. my cousins are halfasian and their pops didn't fukk around. if I got a bad grade my mom would be okay with it as long as i "tried as hard as I could" my cousins would get grounded if they got a B

Not all asian parents are hard on their kids though. Several Filipino kids I knew growing up got spoiled rotten, and, as a result, aren't really going anywhere in their life .

Hell, I wasn't even a good student until 12th grade hit. Except in math. I clowned on all the other kids when I was younger, except for all the other asian kids that went to Saturday school. Generally my parents were a lot easier about what I got in actual useless chit like art or social studies, so I can say I may have had it better than some.

I just find it funny they addressed a lot of what I talked about in the second episode before I even watched it

No martial arts backgrounds, no musical prodigys, no extremely weird eastern quirks, no super intellect, just ROTC majors and tagalog. Some do get into black culture though, if they in the right areas.
