Eddie Huang Rips 'Fresh Off the Boat' (Again): "I Don't Recognize My Own Life"
The comedy, based on Huang's memoir of the same name, details young Eddie's (played by
Hudson Yang) move with his family from D.C. to Orlando and is the first Asian-American series on the broadcast networks in 20 years (since
Margaret Cho's
All American Girl).

"My only goal was to represent my Taiwanese-Chinese-American experience & I did that. We also proved viewers want diverse content so make it!" he continued. The tweets come after Huang made waves for criticizing
Fresh Off the Boat producers in a first-person
essayin which he called the series a "cornstarch story."
In a February
interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Huang graded the series a "B" and pushed for a domestic violence arc: "I feel like if we are going to talk about Asian families, it's something we should discuss and think about how we can address."
ABC and producers 20th Century Fox Television declined comment on Huang's latest remarks.
