If you're gonna have fish for breakfast, it's gotta be with grits, scrambled, etc, y'know, something savory.

Fish, especially fried doesn't taste good when combined with sweetness compared to fried chicken.

I still can't believe how a lot of people on here weren't aware of Chicken and Waffles being a thing at restaurants, at least among Black eateries, for decades, long before some of us were born.

The orange section at the bottom is called candied yams.

They are very sweet and are commonly eaten with fried fish in so called Black American households so I’m sure waffles and syrup would fit right in.

An occasional waffle/stack pancakes/French toast ain’t gave nobody diabetes, most people don’t have time or money to be eating that type of breakfast regularly
