Friends Vs Associates (Do Most People Even Know The Difference Between The Two?)

I guess in my case it's better to have 3-4 friends maximum. These are the people that you trust and kinda tell your personal shyt to. Also, this is your social circle.

To me associates are people you have a relationship with to better your life. For example, you network with these people for job opportunities and etc. You're selling yourself and making yourself a brand per say. You do NOT invite these people to your home or tell them your personal business. Also, these people can be people you fukk with when you're bored.

Do you differentiate the two in your life?

When people say that they have a lot of friends I don't believe them and many are just associates.

It's not hard to different between friend and associate, tbh. Although, I have this one individual who's a friend, but he also happens to be one of my associate producers/band member. Knew him since HS

I think people have a bigger problem differentiating Family and Friends (imo)

My mom told me when I was very young- true friends you will be able to count on one hand. So true!

I only have three friends. I've known them for over 10 years (one of them since sophomore year of high school in 1999 )

I have a bunch of associates.
