I do recall some of those tapes would have like 29 tracks on 'em... and you could forget it after track 20. Fair enough. Oh, and don't let it be a double-CD. :scusthov:

Slay was still on it tho'... when he had it, he had it. He pretty much had a new joint out every other week and stayed with the newest shyt... couldn't shyt on that.

those mixtapes with exclusives and the "hosts" of the mixtape usually havin freestyles over nikkas beats were good...but i think the new age album-like mixtapes are goatier breh...sucks for the dj's though

co-sign. a lot of the earlier mixtapes before mixtapes were more like albums did not age well. cleared a bunch off to save space

TS is on point....Kay Slay had it on lock from 2000 - 2003.....Kay Slay was putting out new exclusives every week. Clue nor any other DJ could keep up and thats how he took the crown.

Nah that's Whoo Kid

Kay Slay was neck qand neck with Kay Slay in 1 year and that was 2000....after The alpo interviews, Ether, the weekly exclusives and the Street Sweeper series....Whoo Kid didnt stand a chance.

SOHH WE GONE ACT LIKE BIG MIKE DIDN'T RUN THAT?

:yeshrug:

Kay Slay slapped Big Mike up......after that slap Big Mike no longer existed

I'd say maybe 01-03 :ld:

I remember every Thurday night listening to the Drama hour on Hot 97. I cant front he had shyt in a chokehold (as far as DJ's go). He had crazy exclusive's and of course 1 dibs on beef records. shyt I still remember the night he brought Jaz-O on and world premiered "Ova" :ooh: , then he started trying to make the crossover to making albums and aligning himself with wack underground artist and fell off.

around 05 The Drama Hour started falling off but prior to that it was a must tune in show. Before Janet jackson threw everything off it was nothing to here 4 letter words on Kay Slay show...after janet all that shut down.

But u forgot to add that Kay Slay was so on point with the exclusives that by the time Clue dropped his cd all of the songs would have already been on a Kay Slay CD 2 to 3 weeks prior.
