Logical fallacy? based on what? When I was in the Army....them whiteboys (who were the majority) were just as into Hip Hop as I was. I'll never forget this one kid who had every single release from No Limit. He had a whole CD book of just No Limit artists....even the sh*tty unknowns. I'll never forget how it was a bunch of whiteboys who kept asking to borrow my Dead Prez - Lets Get Free CD (Cant lie....some brothers asked as well...Now that I think of it that CD was my most borrowed CD ever).
Please stop arguing with me about this

Because what you says doesn't change a single thing about the topic of this thread

Do you think those white that You were in the army with would know a Macklemore?

But yet you say in your title "from a CONSUMER standpoint"

:patrice:

I think you might not understand what the words consumer or purchases mean

:patrice:

Or you're just typing to give your fingers and thumbs a light work out

:manny:
Consumer does not equal purchaser of the product

It's just someone who uses the product

wasn't arguing. All i did was say I didnt agree with the statement that Blacks listen to hiphop a majority of the time...and I said that based on experience meanwhile you are standing on the statement that Blacks listen to the majority of Hip Hop yet have no info to support your conclusion besides an assumption. I mean..if u actually went to all 50 states and asked every American what type of music they listened to and u came to that conclusion then I could work with something....But u didnt so I cant.

But to answer your question about wether those same whiteboys would like Macklemore....They did like Limp Biskuit and ICP. Me personally I'll take Macklemore over ICP all day.

Beyonce gets played more in the Black community than Jean Grae.. Doesn't have anything to do her being more hip hop..

Unless you're just going by the lazy theory that stuff that Black people like =hip hop...

If thats the case Lil Boosie is more hip hop than Kanye West..

And Tyler Perry and Steve Harvey are more hip hop than any of these n1ggas...

...
Black hip hop fans identify drake as hip hop moreso than em or macklemore and they play his music more than those individuals

Parties, clubs, talk, etc. Drake's music runs the sht b, its that simple

Consumer-Economics and marketing . The consumer is the one who pays to consume the goods and services produced.

Consumer- An individual who buys products or services for personal use and not for manufacture or resale.

^^^^^^^

How are you totally ignoring the "purchasers" based on Websters definition?

Don't be that guy.. You had a half baked concept that you didn't fully think out.. It happens to all of us at some point...

We should all be able to come to a consensus that Drake isn't hip hop.. He's HALF HOP....Not only because he only raps half of the time...But because by your OWN standard of hip hop credibility he's half white...

But the black community...........Im around these high school kids all da time in the park and ima jus give u the bottom line...they fck wit Drake...period...when Drake drops a verse...nikkaz is talking about it

Now my age group 21- 25

Drake is bumped in the same fashion...

And Im not hanging around a bunch of hipster ass cacs either my dude..

Drake is hip hop period...he's the prime sound of the current culture(black hip hop community)

He runs the very places we frequent majorly

He's encompasses the bragodocious shyt on nikkaz style that is almost essential to a hip hop artist

And basically he is the leader of this new era of the culture point blank

Ur old wrinkly dusty ass can try to deny it but u gotta face facts b :yeshrug:
