They may or may not make the playoffs next season but they are better off in the long run with Dunn

As you can probably tell im extremely high on him

As long as they keep Towns/Dunn/Wiggins and continue to build the team around those guys the Wolves will be title contenders in 2-3 years IMO
They're never gonna win a title. I don't fret over that because it's never gonna happen. They've been out of the playoffs for 12 years. Why would I care about a ring? That's part of why I can't take non fans of this seriously. Y'all don't realize that the worst team in NBA history will remain that way til they prove otherwise and after hearing the "give em 2-3 more years" speech for most of that time, it's easy to tune this shyt out, especially here

Like I said, this ain't about Dunn, even if he IS getting overrated like crazy around here.

Damn breh this post is sad.I dont even want to troll you anymore after reading that :mjcry:

You gotta have faith breh

In the nba as long as you have a stud you can build a championship caliber squad around him and y'all already have your guy in Towns with a couple nice pieces around him

Now it's really about your core players developing and the FO putting good role players around them

I can really see this squad developing the same way the Thunder did when they had a young Durant/Westbrook/Harden

I seriously believe this team has that type of potential

now will they win a title? Who knows but im confident they'll contend for titles if they keep this core together

@tremonthustler1 Did they take Dunn hoping it would land Butler primarily? Because I really liked the 76ers trade. I think it makes the team better now and makes it for less holes to fill like you said. Having to match a Noel contract is worrisome so I get why they might back away, but still, that would have made them a legit contender for a 4 or 5 seed imo.

One step back for 2 giant steps forward. Think of it like that .

what step forward are we taking? I don't believe Rubio would get the team a better player than he is right now. It would be a middle of the road 4 and the team would 100% rely on Wiggins and Towns for its success which could be dangerous. If Dunn shows this year he can make 3's, defend and hold up over an NBA schedule, I'd be willing to look at moving Rubio next summer but the team doesnt have it's first round pick unless it misses the playoffs and this team should not be thinking that is acceptable anymore.

Cleveland was never going to win a title too, until they did :yeshrug:

You loved Dunn for the last two years, now that your team drafted him it's doom and gloom? They can find shooting, the type of PG he represents is a lot more difficult to find.

I think Dunn's upside is greater than Rubio's. With rubio, you know what you have. and to me, it's not enough.

I get where he's coming from though. The goal is to get to the playoffs this year and moving Ricky doesn't make that likely imo. Dunn on the second unit with Bazz is a good thing though.

I think this team makes the playoffs with or without Rubio, Thibs has performed magic getting injured rosters to play way above their heads before and he's never had a team with this much young talent & potential. Look at what SVG has done with the Pistons, he made the playoffs his 2nd year only because their roster was a dumpster fire that needed to be cleansed or else he probably would have done it year 1, meanwhile Thibs is getting a team with a starting 5 that just needs to add depth and shooting. Nevermind the fact the West is on a downswing and 40-43 wins should be enough.

Getting to the playoffs isn't dependent on Rubio, it's on Towns & Wiggins.

No which is why I never believed in those rumors.

Yeah Chicago likes Dunn but so does Thibs.

I honestly don't think they make it this upcoming year without Ricky. It'd be putting a lot on the back of Dunn and Thibs isn't the guy known to give a lot of leeway with rookies right off the bat.

I'm not doom and gloom about Dunn. You know that.

As I told you before, Thibs should let this team play out before drastic changes get made. That goes for anyone. I don't like LaVine but let Thibs see what he can do before making drastic moves.
