Not about kicking the can. Its rare to be able to count on a young guy before his 3rd year. And by count on I mean a guy playing real minutes on a real, playoff caliber team. Our core guys are young and its beneficial to have other players that will be able to contribute in a few years as well instead of surrounding them with older guys and going through the cycle of vets like Cleveland and OKC have had to do. Remember this is probably their last opportunity to get a potential high level talent through the draft so you aim for talent. This 5th pick could POTENTIALLY be the 3rd, 4th or 5th guy for this team. The Ibaka/Adams guy. You need 3-6 guys with real talent to win at the highest levels and if the Wolves make the playoffs they won't have anymore lottery picks. GSW has an 11 (Klay) 2 7s (Barnes, Curry,) a 1 (bogut) and a 9 (iggy). OKC has a 2, a 4, a 24 (Ibaka which is rare) and a 12 (Adams) and also leveraged the 3 pick (Harden) into assets. Point is you have 1 more chance to add a player who could potentially be a high level player so unless you get a great offer I think you have to do it.

Plus the idea of trading for Butler means you have the worst shooting backcourt in the league and almost HAVE to trade Rubio for a shooter
I'm not even all that big on dealing for Butler (though I'm not gonna shed tears if LaVine and Dieng have to go). I'd keep the pick since that magical vet isn't gonna be there, but Thibs will want a Dunn or Hield because they should contribute now

What pick # yall got. I was too elated by the 76ers getting 1 that I never checked the rest of the list. Anyone got a link to the rest of the lottery results? Not home so can't really google shyt.

I don't care about the Timberwolves or their future, but Wiggins is my boy so I do wish y'all success. :salute:

Hopefully Thibs can unlock his defensive potential because he can still be so much more on that end. :wow:

small footage Karl Towns working with Kris Dunn. BTW Towns really eats and sleep basketball, his mix of media savvy, talent, skills with his work ethic is straight MJ/Bean like

. I wonder if Drew started his off season training

I just seen @tremonthustler1 post about Kander. I know it was 50/50 he was going to come back, but that's huge; he had the wolves the healthiest they have been years. I heard the new regime didn't even reach out:upsetfavre:. To fire the director and co director of sports performance is just :mindblown: to me, good thing they got partnership with the Mayo Clinic.

In fairness to Kander, he was only there for Flip. He's from Boulder, CO. He wanted to go back home. The team did reach out to him, so I can't pin that on the new regime.

I just hope the new training staff keeps the team healthy.

God damn KAT is so smooth brehs :mjcry:

I'm really trying to care about these playoffs, but all I wanna see is Thibs with the boys :to:

BPA at #5 and fill a hole or two through Free Agency. Grizzlies and Rockets playoff spots could be up for grabs, I think the Wolves can sneak in if injuries stay away and they shore up their bench.

Wiggins is about to have the first summer with no other commitments, to just work on his game.

success seems to be on the horizon :obama:

I can see Wiggins getting to the 25 5 and 5 level easily next year. He may not reach that Kobe Jordan Bron like status that many hyped him up to be. But he's proven to be the truth and his game is progressing nicely.
