I don't understand being against new characters if you have a fondness to their stories. Games like Garou and Street Fighter 3 suffered because people were so abrasive against the idea of a completely new cast of characters.

They're good for the story and world progression. And it gives Devs to work with a new and unique playstyle instead of reinventing the wheel of an old character that could possibly piss someone off.

I'd love to get some new characters, especially that Erron Black dude from the comics, breh's a cowboy, so I know one his styles would be a gunslinger variation and if it lets him play like Stryker, I'd be hype as fukk.

I think that dude with the bow might be Kai from MK4, from the still, the costume kinda looks like Kai, with the sash over 1 shoulder, the head gear, and the bracers on the wrists just like his MK4 counterpart, but the bow throws me off

Black Liu Kang could be makin' an appearance.
